"This is our 7th year at Parker at Monroe (and my husband is) having a positive quality of life, longer than we could have hoped for. My husband laughs, sings, he looks great and even has new glasses and a new haircut, and of course we continue to hug and kiss. During our time at Parker, we had a large family birthday party and a wedding luncheon, all catered by Parker - the food was wonderful! We all participate in parties give by Parker - holiday celebrations and religious and calendar holidays as well as visiting performances. COVID presented visiting issues...but we could always trust Parker to look out for us all. They provided vaccinations for staff, residents and family. Thank you, Parker, for helping us to have a life different from what we expected but a wonderful life just the same!" - Marie S.
"My Brother and I were looking for a facility with full nursing and memory care for our Father. From my first contact with staff, I was extremely confident that this facility was going to be our first choice. The process was made very easy. Our Dad is now a resident and we couldn't be more satisfied. The facility staff have been so attentive to our Dad's ongoing needs and we are confident he is getting the best of care." - Albert M.
"We would like to extend our satisfaction and extreme appreciation to the entire staff at Parker at Monroe. We can't begin to express the magnitude of our sincere appreciation for the loving care that was extended to sister-in-law during her final years. We are comforted knowing that she was given the very best care possible in her condition. Thank you for everything." - Andre & Rosemarie M.
"For the years my mother lived at Parker at Monroe, all of you maximized her quality of life at every stage. She was able to embrace the activities, the socialization, even the delicious food (and my mother was very hard to please in the latter department) until the very end. Above all, my mother benefited from the dignity you afforded her in your respectful and gentle help with all the executive functions that she was slowly losing. Her experience exemplified everything embedded in Parker's philosophy of graceful and respectful aging. For all of this we are eternally grateful... At every visit, you welcomed us with warmth, smiles and often laughter. You enabled us to focus on the happy moments of my mother's last years rather than just the sadness of her decline. Moreover, we never left Parker after a visit worried, rather knowing that she was in the best hands, safe, secure, happy and above all, engaged... I do not know how you create such a culture at Parker at Monroe, but we were the beneficiaries and again, we are so grateful. My mother would want to thank you for everything." - Amy K.
"I owe you all a debt of gratitude for the care and attention you gave to my mother during her many years at Parker, but especially during the last months of her life. I know that her care was not always easy but I never received complaints from any of you and, in fact, believe that you tried to shield me from any upset. Although it felt strange at times, it became clear to me at some unspecified point that you had come to know my mother better than I did. That realization was never hurtful to me; instead, it was comforting to know that she was in such good hands, in all senses of the word." -Marilyn O.
"I just wanted to let you know how wonderful the 'outdoor COVID monitor' was as we met with my mom today. She was so very helpful and 'in tune' with my mom - volunteering and getting water for my mom. Every time my mom had a problem with the phone, she was up and helping her before we could barely notice it. She was terrific and deserves a special shout-out! I’m sorry I don’t know her name, but please pass-along our thanks!" - Roxanne C.
"Unfortunately, my husband was too ill to appreciate the amazing care he received during his short stay at Parker at Monroe. His last days were comfortable and pain-free, thanks to the amazing caregivers at Silver Oaks [neighborhood]. They were compassionate, kind and extremely caring. A special thanks to [the admissions manager] for expediting the transition from our home to your facility. She acted with warmth and professionalism and was so understanding. - Joyce G.
"We will forever appreciate the loving care you each gave our mother. Her final days were spent as she would have wanted--your years of care were a big reason for that. May God bless you all. - Kevin M.
"Our White Willow family (at Parker at Monroe
), and I truly believe they are family, showed my father such love and compassion. They stopped in frequently to see how not only he, but how I was doing. They watched over us so tenderly. As the staff left for the day or night, depending on their shift, they would come into his room to say goodbye, give him a kiss and tell him that they hoped they would see him tomorrow, but if not, they would miss him. They cried tears of pain as they realized they too would lose a dear, sweet man that they had come to love deeply... I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love! It was not only a tribute to my dad, but also to your employees who do not see the residents as patients, but rather as family." - Maura Ann D.
"On behalf of our family, I want to thank every staff member at your Parker at Monroe
location for the tremendous care our mom received. I would rate every department of yours an A+, from the administration, nursing, kitchen staff and recreation. We called Parker our mom's home. We enjoyed visiting with our mom during her stay and your workers were so friendly, it made our visits so much more enjoyable. It never felt like I was in a nursing home or assisted living environment. Please thank all your staf for the outstanding care our mom received." - Steve S.
"I currently live in Clearbrook, an active adult community in Monroe Township, but I don't know what my future holds. I realize that one day I may need more care than the typical "active adult" community can provide. As I age, I want to remain close to my family and friends, without being a burden to them. We are all aging and I want to be prepared. I am comforted to know that an exceptional place like Parker at Monroe
is in town. I've been to their other locations and I didn't feel like I was in a nursing home at all." - Lillian W.
