6:00pm to 7:00pm
Presented by NY Tenement Museum Educator
This program features a Chinese American family and their 1970’s tenement home. Through exploration of a recreated apartment and garment shop, you’ll see how the Wongs made a home in a growing Chinatown, amidst the push and pull factors of Chinese immigration. Video interviews and family and neighborhood photographs highlight how different generations of the family navigate language, schooling, media, and work.
