The Howell family lived on George Street in New Brunswick in the early 1900s, and included three adult sisters taking photos in and around their house. You’ll hear an overview of how photographs were made in the 19th and early 20th century, including examples of work by the Howells. Take a virtual walk through the daily life of Victorian-era women through the photographs they made and witness New Brunswick as it appeared at the dawn of the 20th century.
