For twenty-three years, Winston Churchill and Dwight Eisenhower enjoyed an unlikely friendship. At no other time in history did a notable political figure and a military officer from another country build an alliance on the same level as these two great men. It commenced during the Second World War, continued through the Cold War and ended with Churchill’s passing in 1965. Noted historian Dr. Mitch Yockelson will discuss the Churchill and Eisenhower relationship and how it changed the world.
